Organizing The Garden Tool Shed

Img 0035

We’ve always stacked all our shovels, rakes, etc in a big pile in a corner. It was a huge pain to move all the tools that werein the front out of the way just to get to the one garden hoe in the back. When it came time to clean out the garden tool shed, it made sense to hang them all up so that they are more accessible.

We used roofing nails to stagger the tools on the wall at different heights to optimize space. Still on the “to-do” list is to finish sanding and painting all the handles (in red, of course) and priming the metal to prevent rust.

So now we can quickly grab a shovel if we need to clean out the chicken pen, or a pitch fork…in case of zombies. 🙂
